Carlos Camargo de Colón

Carlos Camargo de Colón is an administrator with more than 25 years of experience in the public and private sector, focusing on the areas of energy and agribusiness. Before joining Gasmig's Board of Directors, he was CEO and Advisor at Sulgás, a piped gas distribution company in Rio Grande do Sul, where he led the privatization process and also the post-privatization transition. He was a member of the Board of Directors of Bioceres Crop Solutions, a leading multinational in agricultural microbiology, listed on Nasdaq (USA). Carlos has extensive international experience, having worked in Argentina, Brazil, the United States, Great Britain and the United Arab Emirates. He began his career at the investment bank Morgan Stanley and then spent fourteen years at UBS where he worked in mergers and acquisitions and capital markets. Carlos has a degree in history (Bachelor of Arts) from Columbia University in New York City. Carlos is also a member of the International Advisory Board of Fundação Dom Cabral and the Board of Directors of Fundação Cruz de Malta.
